EXPLORING D’ LEONOR HOTEL INLAND RESORT - DAVAO

We have a little property in Communal, Cabantian here in Davao City, and one of these days my kingdom will soon rise in that little space, hahahaha! But while I’m still dreaming of where to source the resources to fund my empire might as well explore other places unimagined, some 5-minute ride from my place.

Davao City has something new to offer again, D’ Leonor Hotel Inland Resort, Waterpark and Wavepool, its located in Barangay Communal, Cabantian here, just a 15-minute ride from downtown Davao and a 10-minute ride from the airport. This inland resort lies on a vast mountainous terrains, they have a wavepool and a raging river but still under construction and would be fully operational by June of this year.

The entrance arch of the resort, the blue cordoned area there is where the hotel soon will rise, its still under construction.
They have a chapel perfect for weddings, just across this chapel is a gym and cottages you can stay-on.
This is the picnic area, on a perfect cloudless day you see the whole range of Mt.Apo from here.
and the ever famous string ride, which Davao City popularized of course, a 460m zip line, there'll be cable cars that will be installed around here sometime soon, the tour guide said.
The resort cottage
the comfort inside, with one bedroom and a T/B
and a breathtaking site going down to the chapel.

  7. Just been in this place. Last Sunday (09.04.11) to be exact. It was recommended by the van driver that we hire. Tried to do some reseach over the net about this place but found nothing, so I've decided to give this place a try. To be honest, I am very disappointed. First sa price, they charged an entrance fee of 75 pesos for the adults and 30 pesos for the kids just to go inside for nothing. I say nothing kase hindi ko pa ma appreciate and place, marami pang building works na on going inside. They will also charge another 150 pesos sa adult and 100 pesos sa kids if you go inside sa pool regardless kung maligo ka or hindi. It's a wavepool but at that day, afternoon na nag function ang wavepool because of technical problem. Gastos doesn't stops there kasi lahat ng pagkain at drinks na dala ninyo ay may corkage, for example - 1.5L coke ang corkage ay 30 pesos, kung sa restaurant ka nila bibili, well it will cost you 80 pesos for 1.5L. in fairness the cake is free. lechon - 300 pesos. All foods - 200 pesos. Balik tayo sa pool, it is not clean as I expected, medyo malabo na ang tubig and a bit of warning, be carefull sa floor ng pool, it's bit rough, halos lahat ng kids namin, nag ka sugat sa paa. We didn't had a chance to try ang kanilang zip line, the price is 250 for adults and 150 for kids, meron din Zoo, 70 pesos for the adult and 50 pesos sa kids but again hindi rin namin na try ang zoo. I know bago pa ang place na ito at hindi pa tapos, but charging an entrance fee for nothing, I think it's too much. Lesson learned ko dito is that, try to reseach the place as much as possible, if you get nothing over the net, then see and check the place and if you're happy with it, then go and if not then look for another place. Please note, this is my personal opinion. Please check the place if you are interested. Many thanks. . .

  8. I think this place is intended for people who has the leisure of spending money. Not a very local friendly resort, so to say. But then their attractions are very nice. They have this surf pool (not yet functioning) which is so cool. The place is huge. If you have a family of 5, I think a budget of more or less 8,000 will do.

  16. .... been to the place to celebrate my birthday.. price is reasonable. Charging 50 for sight seeing is ok pero sana with free sakay sa van nila to tour the place kasi its really a wide area and if you are going to tour it by foot its a major sacrifice ..It's a place with diff amenities w diff charges it's up to you if your going to avail or not. A 2800 room is ok cause its a complete house already.. The pool is exciting but it would be wonderful if they will slice the price to 200 from 250 since they already charge you 50 in the entrance alone..Major construction is going on and by looking at it would turn out a must place to see here in Davao ....

  17. hindi naman po mga bobo yung mga staff.. its just that kulang lang talaga ng manpower yung companya.. because you cannot serve two masters at a time.. imagining the 34hectars tapos ilan lang yung emplayado ... you cannot also blame the employees because the company thus not provide them good salaries.. imagine that mag 1year na sila and the compensation is not worth it the employees are not motivate to do their duties..
and take note they hired employees but all employees are not undergo training.
you cannot blame the employees but the management itself..

  18. the resort is expensive but it worth it kaya lang talaga kulang lang ng training because the management thus not provide it!

be proud guys na may ganito sa davao- as i heard first and only ito. "THE FUTURE DISNEYLAND" NG DAVAO! wag na magsira-an.. anu ba.. and be educated!.

sa mga reklamador at di makaafford? wag na kayung pumunta. O KAYA- humingi nlng kyu ng discount- friendly namn ang mga staffs doon. kasi try na namin.

anyweiz, everyone has their own opinion and you can never PLEASE anybody- esp. the IGNORANT MORONS....

  22. the experience was so stupendous, in fact my family and i really wanna go back at D'Leonor.

well anyweiz.. that's true.. comments will always be forever flowing... the fact there. the resort is still growing- so just be free to leave your comments, so they could make your desired outcomes granted.

if happened that the staffs wasn't able to serve you well.. remember: no one "staffs" would want to make their guests feel disappointed. ryt? comprehend more and be mature!

piece of advise: if you do not have enuf money to spend or if just have brought enuf- think twice " the resort is handling the STANDARDS up"

    from AUSTRALIA with love!!!
